Marlene Swan Age 92, of Rice Lake, WI, went home to be with her Savior and Lord on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving family in Rice Lake. She was born on May 19, 1932 in Barron, WI to William and Genevieve (Kimmell) Cobb. Marlene was married to Wesley Swan on October 16, 1948 in Barron, WI. They dairy farmed in the Town of Barron for many years. She enjoyed reading, and was an excellent cook and baker. Marlene had an incredible faith and trusted in the Lord with all of her strength. She enjoyed being with all of her family and prayed for them daily. She is survived by 6 daughters, Judy Herrman, Connie (Doug) Ripplinger, Sonja (Keith) Bjugstad, Sharon (Randy) Heldt, Brenda Oftedahl and Becky (Don) Kern; 2 sons, Bradley Swan and Brent (Gloria) Swan; 22 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; a sister, Susan Dowd; a sister-in-law, Pam Cobb; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Swan; her parents, William and Genevieve Cobb; a daughter-in-law, Gloria Swan; 2 sons-in-law, Marv Oftedahl and Robert Herrman; a sister, Jayne Fish; and a brother Lester "Ty" Cobb. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Maranatha Evangelical Free Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Paul Green officiating, with interment in the Wayside Cemetery in Barron, WI. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI is assisting and serving the family. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the Pregnancy Help Center or Maranatha Evangelical Free Church.
