Marlene Carol Toney, age 87 formerly of Fond du Lac and Redgranite, WI died on Friday January 20, 2023 at her home in Onalaska, WI with her family by her side. She was born in Fond du Lac on September 11, 1935 to William and Ludmilla (Kulaga) Unmuth. She attended St. Mary’s Springs High School and then on February 14, 1952 she married Donald Toney. Marlene’s biggest passion in life was loving and caring for her beloved husband and four children. She was an avid worker and an extremely easy person to love. Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening, reading novels, volunteering at local nursing homes, playing slots at the casino, and watching the Packers and Brewers.
Marlene is survived by her children: Jeff Toney, James Toney, Jackie (Ron) Pierce, Janine (Jim) Sears; grandchildren: Kari Fullerton, Cassie (Jeremy) Karr, Garrett Toney, Patrick Toney, Alacia Pierce, Sean (Alyssa) Pierce, Gabby Kuber, Joe Kuber; great grandchildren: Samantha, Ethan and Ella Fullerton, Madeline and Evelyn Toney, Brayden and Bailey Karr, Grayson Pierce; siblings: Lorraine “Patsy” (Ted) Moberg, Mary (Jim) Unmuth-Yockey, Judean (John) Wise; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Don, her parents and sister, Janelle Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 12PM (NOON) on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday January 30th form 10AM until the time of services at 12PM.
The family wished to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Gundersen Hospice for the care and compassion given to Marlene during her time under their care.
