Marlene Beth Walker was born, December 3, 1970, in Tomball, Texas, to Dorothy Andrews Maywald and Ray S. Maywald; the oldest of 3 children. She passed August 6, 2025, at the Mena Regional Health System surrounded by her loving family.

She adored and was a proud Mother of her children, Alden and Dori, and cherished her role as "Grandma" to Miya and Ace; never missing a birthday or t-ball game.

Marlene graduated from Mena High School in 1989 and was a dedicated long-time employee of the US Postal Service, Mena, as a rural carrier.

She had a myriad of hobbies, from quilting to photography; particularly stills of old barns, enjoyed thrifting, and was a talented artist. Marlene was an avid collector of anything that resembled Holstein cows, loved all animals, old cars, and everything that sparkled. She enjoyed a variety of music from hard rock to a little Toby Keith country.

Marlene leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, that will forever be in our hearts, along with her get-it-done attitude, hard work, and unwavering kindness and generosity to those in need, including animals. She would have a Noah's Ark had she not been curtailed.

Marlene is preceded in death by, her father, Ray S. Maywald; father-in-law, Larry (aka-Lardy) Walker; brother-in-law, Ryan Walker and special friend and surrogate Mom, Joyce Mitchell. Survivors include her husband, Kyle Walker; daughter, Dori; son, Alden (Macey); grandchildren, Miya and Ace; mother, Dorothy Maywald; brother, Doug Maywald; sister, Janet Guinn (Seth); nephews, Cory and Cole, and aunt, Yvonne Cathey.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 9, at Gann Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. with Bryan Richardson, officiating, under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will take place prior to the service at the Beasley-Wood Chapel from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., due to extreme heat.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Walker, Alden Maywald, Doug Maywald, Seth Guinn, Cory Guinn, and Cole Guinn.
