Marlo Marie “Heise” Stoneham - March 26, 1949-October 14, 2025
Marlo Marie “Heise” Stoneham, 76, of Charlevoix, passed October 14, 2025. She was born in Charlevoix on March 26, 1949 to Madelyn Heise and Robert Heise. Marlo met her life long partner James “duke” Stoneham in 1978. Marlo had three kids, Robert Reiter, Valerie “Stoneham” Marquadt and James “Jimmy” Stoneham.
Marlo graduated from Inkster High in Detroit, MI in 1966. She had the pleasure to graduate with the Marvelettes and always loved to watch them perform in the gymnasium. In her younger years, she loved to dance and hang out with her neighborhood firends. Marlo was always a kind and caring person, she would always give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. From a younger age, she had a very big obsession with motorcycles, whether it was a Harley or even a dirt bike, anything with two wheels and she was ready to climb on the back.
Marlo was a loving soul and was always making friends. She was a very free spirited woman and always said what she had on her mind. Working retail was always her second home because she always got to meet new friends. Whether you were having a bad day or a really good day, she never failed to make it better. She may have been stubborn and very sassy, but she was always your best friend.
Marlo loved her grandkids and always loved to have many sleepovers with all of her little “ babies”. She most especially loved to have her girls night in with her granddaughters Kimberly Marie Simpson and Jadin Eliza Reiter or her more famous Friday nights out with her daughter, Valerie Marquadt, and Tiffany Ruth “Whitten” Reiter for their little Chippendale adventures. Marlo loved to get McDonald’s and take all her grandkids to Ferry Beach in Charlevoix for a snack and a swim. Marlo loved her grandkids so much but always one thing to remember, protect your butt because if itwas near her she was grabbing it. She was a sweet but not so innocent wild one.
Marlo is survived by her sister Paula Tinsley: oldest son Robert Reiter: Daughter Valerie Marquadt: Her beautiful grandkids Kimberly Simpson, Jadin Reiter, Ronin Reiter, Forest Marquadt, Lachlin Reiter, Odin Reiter.
Marlo is proceeded in death by her mother Madelyn Heise, Father Robert C. Heise, brother Robert (Bobby) Heise, her life partner James (Duke) Leo Stoneham Jr. and her beloved son James (Jimmy) Stoneham.
