Marlyn E. Covelli, 84 beloved sister and aunt of many passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Marlyn was born in Chicago to the late Carmen and the late Jean Covelli. Marlyn was a loving sister of Jerome (Brenda) Covelli and the late Elaine (Edward) Kimball and Linda (Michael) Wilson; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews along with numerous great nieces and nephews. Marlyn lived a fascinating life, which included her retiring early as a successful business administrator where she began her long career playing piano in such places as the Walnut Room at Macys, the Drake Hotel, Drury Lane and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Marlyn also proudly talked about her educational background and the seven degrees she earned along the
way! Marlyn enjoyed spending time with her extraordinarily large family and would proudly talk about how many people surrounded her with love. Marlyn knew anyone and everyone she
crossed paths with and had a beautiful circle of friends she called family. She will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family. But most of all she will be remembered as the fierce, independent, wonderful woman we all loved dearly. Visitation Sunday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, 8:00 a.m. until time of prayers 9:00 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church. Interment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Smile Train, 633 Third Ave New York, NY 10017. For funeral information please call 630-832-0018 or www.gibbonsfuneralhome.com
