Marna Kielty passed away on October 4, 2024.
Marna was born Marna Rae Jacobson on January 12, 1945, to Edwin and Ellen Jacobson of Kingston, Minnesota.
In February 1963, Marna married Jerry Kielty. Marna and Jerry lived and raised their family in Forest City, Minnesota. The couple had one daughter and four sons.
During her younger years, Marna enjoyed snowmobiling, playing 500, and card parties. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and crossword puzzles. When the kids were grown and out of the house, Marna and Jerry also enjoyed “shoe shopping” trips to Morton.
Marna’s joy of sewing was also part of her employment at Animal Fair (Eden Valley, MN), Litchfield Woolen Mills, and Litchfield Garment.
Marna is survived by her children (Karen Redlin, Arizona; Rick Kielty (Kay), Watkins, MN; Dennis Kielty (Rachel), Eden Valley, MN; and Mike Kielty (Missy), Watkins, MN), 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and sisters Judy Steffes (Chaka, MN) and Sharon Tupa (Roy) (Hutchinson, MN).
Preceding Marna in death were her husband (Jerry), son (John Paul), grandson (Douglas Kielty), son-in-law (Mike Redlin), sister (Lynnette), brother (Brian), and parents (Edwin and Ellen).
Family and friends are invited to share lunch and memories of Marna on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at:
