February 16, 1940 - April 3, 2025
State College, Pennsylvania - Marolyn "Diane" Yorks passed away peacefully the morning of April 3, 2025, with the love of her family surrounding her.
Diane was born in Altoona, PA in 1940 to Fredrick and Mary Little, sister of Arden Parrish and Jean Macri. She attended Juniata College majoring in Medical Technology. A highly sought-after master tailor, Diane worked on hundreds of wedding dresses and gowns. Her workroom is covered with pictures of brides accompanied by personal notes of gratitude. She was a truly talented lady.
Diane will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 37 years, James Yorks; children Jeffery Traxler, Terri Merdes, Christopher Traxler, Leslie Adams, and Holly Higginbotham; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; plus numerous extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Diane's Life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte PA. Visitation with the family will be at 10:00 and the Celebration of Life will start at 11:00. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society by going to donate.cancer.org or by sending checks to PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.

She was a wonderful person! I will always remember her as my peach lady for she loved her peach tea and peach pancakes at Cracker Barrel. I always was so happy to see her every Saturday morning. She made my day. I will always remember she to me was everything is peachy! Hugs and prayers to the family.
