Marsha Louise Bell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the age of 77.
She was born on May 4, 1948, to Clara Mockery and Milfred Vogts in Emporia, Kansas. Marsha was raised on a farm and grew up in the country around Olpe and Madison, Kansas where she learned the value of hard work and dedication.
She was married to the late James Thomas (JT) Bell on October 10, 1965, in Emporia, with whom she shared her life and family. Marsha was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Kimberly Johnston and Kelly Bell. She was a proud grandmother to Paige and Emily Johnston, Ashley Fulk and Tucker Peterson. Marsha was a devoted great-grandmother to Kaiden, Kinsley, Kasthtin and Kingstin Fulk, and Reina Peterson.
Marsha worked for many years at IBP and Modine, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. Above all else, she had a heart for children, a deep love for country music, cooking, and garage sales. She made a lifelong impact on her family through her kindness, care, and the steady love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Milfred Vogts, and her husband, J.T. Bell.
Marsha’s love lives on in those she leaves behind, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. Memorial contributions to the Emporia Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund can be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
