Obituary of Marsha Rae Bergan
Marsha Rae (née Guttormson) Bergan (74), found her way to Heaven on June 2nd, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was born in Austin Minnesota, to Raymond and Frances (Byers) Guttormson. Known as "Shasha" to her siblings, she was an admired sister to Carolyn (Gerald) Sash, Kevin (Kathy) Guttormson, Marlin (Kristi) Guttormson, Tom (Melissa) Guttormson, and Jill (Dave) Brosen.
She met her husband Steven Lou Bergan while she was a registered nurse at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. They then became adventurous owners in the retail grocery world, where they later retired from in 2019. As a wife, their partnership was a testament to their love and commitment to one another.
Marsha was a Spectacular mother to her beloved children, Courtney (Bergan) Smith and Jeffrey Bergan, as well as a loving Mother-in-Law to Russell Smith and Sarah (Stafford) Bergan. Her heart was filled with joy for her three beautiful grandsons Liam, Caden, and Gavin Bergan. She thoroughly enjoyed every moment she was able to spend with them, creating loving memories that will be treasured forever.
Though she may no longer be with us on Earth, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us throughout our lives. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and friends. Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
No memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, Marsha would have appreciated donations made to the Animal Humane Society or the Epilepsy Foundation.
We Love you Always & Forever Mama Bear.
