Marsha Carol Cox Owens, 78, of Lubbock was born February 16, 1947 in Seminole, TX to Roy Marvin Cox and Velma Chasarho Garrett Cox. She married Johnny Monroe Owens January 8, 1966 in Lubbock. He passed away July 3, 1985. She worked as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, and she loved her flowers. She would gather pecans in her yard and the neighbor's yard. She loved her dogs that she had over the years and all the cats in the neighborhood. But most of all she loved her family. She was a wonderful mom and will be dearly missed.
Marsha went to be with the Lord, Wednesday March 26, 2025. Her parents, husband, & 2 siblings: Mary Beth Cox Bate and Charles "Buddy" Owens were all waiting for her at Heaven's gate.
Those left to cherish her memories are her 2 children: Lance Owens and Leah Owens-Toney, 4 grandchildren Wyatt, Wesley, & Wylee Toney & Tanner Owens, a great-grandbaby on the way, 2 sisters: Paula Ann Cox McDermett & Aniece Cox Zweig and husband Scott, numerous nieces and nephews and her dog: Danni.
The family will greet friends from 3 to 6pm Monday March 31, 2025 at Wilsons' Funeral Directors Chapel in Wolfforth.
Private Graveside services will be at 1:00 Tuesday April 1 2025 at Peaceful Garden Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of Wilsons' Funeral Directors of Wolfforth.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Haven Animal Shelter at havenacs.org or by mail 4501 N. FM 1729, Lubbock, TX 79403, which Marsha was passionate about helping all animals.
