Marsha Ann (DeSocio) Fedele passed away in the early morning hours of October 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was predeceased by her father, David DeSocio, and her mother, Shirley O'Hern.
Marsha attended Henninger High School. As a young adult, she worked as a waitress before going on to work as a receptionist at Eye Surgeons of CNY for many years. Even after her retirement, Marsha continued to work every Friday at her son's restaurant, Fish Cove, in North Syracuse.
Marsha was a devoted mother and wife. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Fedele and her children: Danielle Burke, Michael Burke (wife Stephanie Burke), Sarah Fedele (husband Matthew Harger), and Joseph Fedele (wife Jessica Fedele). She is also survived by her ten grandchildren: Joseph Maloney, Gabrielle Ross, Thomas Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Caitlin Burke, Juliana Fedele, Nicholas Fedele, Anthony Fedele, Madelyn Harger, and Nolan Harger, as well as her great-granddaughter, Oaklynn Biggs. Marsha is also survived by a close extended family including her brother, David DeSocio (niece Rosemary DeSocio, nephew David DeSocio), her sister Susan Desocio (niece Lindsay Reppi, nephew Joseph Reppi), and many other close family members whom she dearly loved.
Reducing a person’s life to a few paragraphs is never easy, especially when describing Marsha. Marsha had an exceptional way of making others feel like the center of the world when they spoke to her. She was warm, kind, deeply empathetic, and she loved with a generosity beyond words. Everyone who encountered her felt truly loved and cared for in a special way. She was a mother to many, always ensuring those around her felt cherished and valued.
Marsha had an innate ability to bring beauty and vibrancy to everything she touched. She made the best Sunday meatballs for her family. She wrapped each gift with care and attention to detail. She decorated for every holiday. Her home was always open for anyone to drop in any time and be welcomed with open arms. Marsha was deeply committed to her family, always thinking of others, and giving selflessly of her time. She leaves behind precious memories that will be cherished by her children and grandchildren for years to come.
Heaven has truly gained an angel. Marsha is now at peace with her mother, Shirley, whom she loved dearly. Her family will forever hold her close in their hearts and treasure the time they shared with her on Earth.
