Marsha Sisson, age 80 of Acton, Massachusetts, born Marsha Pontbriand to Myrtle and Leon Pontbriand in Marlborough, Massachusetts on November 21, 1944. Died on September 3, 2025, surrounded by her family. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to family. She was married to Charles B. Sisson Jr (Skip) on October 6th, 1963. Marsha was a devoted wife, loving mother. Together with her husband, Skip, for most of her life-more often side by side than apart. She cherished her role as a homemaker, worked as a bookkeeper, and was a long-time employee at CVS Pharmacy in Acton.
She was known as a loyal friend with a quick wit, a warm smile, and laughter that could light up a room. Marsha was an avid fan of Elvis. She was an enthusiastic and devoted follower of Tribute artist Calvin Benelli. Along with her husband, Skip, she was an active member at the Acton Senior Center. Marsha adored her grandchildren, and they were her greatest joy.
Marsha is survived by her beloved Husband Skip, her children Charles Sisson and wife Andrea of Concord, NH, Michael Sisson and wife Lisa of Nottingham, PA, Pamela Sisson of Fitchburg, MA, her grandchildren Rebecca Sisson, Abigail & Teddy Simpkins, Joseph Cormier, Gabriel Cormier, Morgan & Skylar Sisson, Daniel & Mackenzie Sisson, Garrett Sisson, Matthew Sisson, and Andrew Sisson, her great grandchildren Caden, Hadassah, Kinsley, Judah, and Amelia. Her sibling, David Pontbriand and wife Sue of Portland, ME, her nieces and nephews Kathleen Hunt, Tommy Mckenzie, Robin Pontbriand, Elizabeth Pontbriand, Jason Hunt, Sarah Hunt, and Shannon Hunt, loved one Cameron Morse, and many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Myrtle, her Aunt Doris, and sister Sandra.
Waking hours will be held 5-8 PM on Tuesday, September 9th, at Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Rte 111), Acton, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Elizabeth's Church, 89 Arlington Street, Acton, MA, on Wednesday, September 10th at 11 AM, followed by a graveside service at Mount Hope Cemetery in Acton, MA. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor her memory.
Marsha will be remembered for her laughter, her love of family, and the way she made life brighter for everyone around her.
