Marsha L. Smith, a beacon of warmth and generosity, graced this world with her unwavering spirit from October 31, 1957, until her departure on March 9, 2025. Born to the loving embrace of Clarence Edwards and Betty Lou Price, Marsha was a woman who exemplified selflessness. Her heart, vast like an endless horizon, was always open to those in need, echoing the truth that family was her touchstone and sanctuary.

To her children, David (Julie) Price and Liz (John) Dubie, Marsha was an anchor, forever putting their needs above her own, with a love that knew no bounds. She embodied resilience, a strong-willed matriarch whose determination carved paths of compassion and care for her family, infusing every moment with joy and laughter. Her grandchildren, Joshua (Grace) Priser, Jacob Priser, and Sabrina (Joshua Kedaitis) Parker, were the light in her eyes, the joyful reminders of the legacy she cherished.

Marsha had an unwavering affection for all creatures, great and small, with a particular fondness for her faithful companion, Patches, whose loyalty mirrored her own. Residing within her generous heart was a love for the simple pleasures of life; her days often brightened by the thrill of playing Bingo or the excitement of a visit to the casino, where laughter mingled with the sound of falling coins, echoing her joyful spirit.

She leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven with the love of her dear sister, Mary (Eric) Kern, and the unwavering support of her cherished friend, Kathy (David) Velte. These connections are threads that remain strong even as she embarks upon her next journey, reminding us all of the warmth and kindness she tirelessly offered to those around her.

Marsha's life was enriched by the companionship of her beloved husband, Cecil "Smitty" Smith, who now welcomes her into eternal rest alongside her brother, Rick Edwards, and her parents. Though they may be apart, their spirits dance together in fields of memories shared, love unbroken by time or distance.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 9:30am to 10:30am on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio. Marsha's funeral service will being at 10:30am, followed by a committal service at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Trotwood, Ohio.
