Marsha Y Williams

Marsha Yvonne Garretson Williams was born to the late Theodore V. Garretson, Sr., and Bessie M. Ivory Garretson on August 18, 1948, in Orange, NJ.

Marsha was the second oldest of eight children.

Marsha worked as a Medical Records Technician at the University of Medicine and Dentistry Hospital for 35 years until she retired.

Marsha was blessed to have four daughters Bernadette, Sabrina, Shervon, and Maneira whom she loved tremendously.

On May 6, 1995 Marsha was united in Holy Matrimony to Kintchen Williams, Jr. and one child Maneira Williams was born from their union.

Marsha was a people person and made friends wherever she went. She loved her family, and her favorite color was "money" green.

Marsha was a great Wife, Mom, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and lover of people.

One of Marsha's favorite pastimes was watching Old Western movies and Amazing Race, and she never wanted to miss an episode!

Marsha attended church at Miracle Temple, Deliverance Evangelistic Center, and Tabernacle of Prayer for All People, and in recent years, up until her time of transition, attended Agape Family Worship Center.

Marsha lived her life as a true reflection of love. To know her was to feel seen, cared for, and embraced with kindness. Her legacy is a reminder that love is not just spoken but lived daily through acts of generosity, grace, and understanding.

Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit continues to guide us, reminding us to love one another as she so beautifully demonstrated throughout her life.
