Mr. Marshall A. "Jim" DeHaven, 71, of Winchester, VA, died February 18, 2008, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. DeHaven was born in 1936 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of George and Katherine DeHaven. He was retired from Home Towne Auto Sales where he was co-owner. He was retired from B&M Chevrolet where he had been employed as Parts and Used Car Manager for 25 years. He was a member of Braddock Street United Methodist Church. He was past-president of the Winchester Exchange Club. He was also a member of the American Diabetes Association where he was a past local president. He served with the United States Army in Germany.

He married Margaret Lee Pitcock on June 17, 1962, in Winchester, Virginia. Mrs. DeHaven preceded him in death on January 23, 2007.

He is survived by one daughter, Marsha Satterwhite of Richmond, Virginia and one son, Jonathan DeHaven of Frederick County, Virginia; 3 grandchildren; one sister, Bonnie Jane Braithwaite of Frederick County and one brother, Robert E. DeHaven of Frederick County, Virginia. One sister, June Gail Laird, is deceased.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, at Braddock Street United Methodist Church with Reverend Tom Keithley and Reverend Steve Melester officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Suite 405, Winchester, Virginia, 22601.
