Marshall Hinton Obituary
Before retiring to Greers Ferry, Mr. Hinton lived in North Little Rock where he taught Industrial Arts at Poplar Street Jr. High from September 1957 until May 1977 and was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church and 1st Assembly of God Church in N.L.R.. A US Army Veteran of WWII where he served from June 1941 until October 1945. He was also a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy Reserves/Sea Bee Unit and was an active member of the American Legion and Optimist Club-International.
He is preceeded in death by his wife, Edith C. (Bramlett) Hinton.
Survivors include his daughter, Patricia A. Kindrick of Greers Ferry, AR; his son, Paul A. Hinton of Chewelah, WA; three grandchildren, Dawne Reynolds of Greers Ferry, Amanda Hinton and Craig Hinton of Chewelah, WA; one great-granddaughter, Jessika Reynolds; and his brother Charles V. Hinton of Wynne, AR.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 29th at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, (501) 835-3515 with Reverend Rod Loy officiating. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock.
A gathering of friends and family will be held in his honor from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 28th at the funeral home.
