Marshall Summers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Noble & Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. - Salisbury on Dec. 30, 2025.
In the quiet stillness of the night, Mr. Marshall Summers, 62, peacefully entered into eternal rest at his home following a short illness. Born September 30, 1963, in Rowan County, he was the beloved son of the late Odell Summers and Shirley Bailey.
A quiet and gentle spirit, Mr. Summers had a deep and abiding love for music that resonated throughout his life and touched the lives of many. Educated in the public schools of Rowan County, music became a defining force in his journey. Listening to music was a daily ritual, and through life's challenges, it provided him with comfort and a meaningful way to connect with others. This passion led him to serve as a DJ when he was able, sharing joy through sound, and he proudly maintained an extensive collection of albums.
Mr. Summers was a faithful attendee of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, West Congregation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sonja Summers.
Those left to cherish his loving memory include his devoted wife, Mae Katherine Summers; children, Teresa Fleming, Rozanta Harris, and Larry Harris, Jr., all of Salisbury; siblings, Tony Summers, Jeffrey Summers, Vicki Woods (Kenny), Margie Summers, and Crystal Hill; grandchildren, Echo Harris, Najha Harris, Maurice Swaringer, Tysae Fleming, Tavarous Fleming, and Destiny Fleming; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Mr. Marshall Summers' legacy will live on through his family, his friends, and the music he so lovingly shared with the world.
