Marshall M. Watkins, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on December 9, 1955, in Troy, PA, Marshall spent his life rooted in the values of hard work, community, and family.
Marshall was the owner and operator of Trade Winds Farm, where he dedicated his career to dairy farming. His passion for agriculture and commitment to his farm were evident in every aspect of his work. In his youth, Marshall enjoyed spending time outdoors, where he developed a love for hunting, playing hockey, snowmobiling, and tractor pulling from an early age. Marshall was also a volunteer and planner for the Troy Fair Tractor Pulls, contributing his time and energy to enhance the local community event.
Marshall is survived by his loving mother, Joyce E. (Smith) Watkins; his daughter, Jamie R. Watkins, and his son, Michael C. Watkins, both of Columbia Cross Roads; and his treasured granddaughter, Kelsi Watson and mother-in-law Helen Antes of Fassett, PA. Marshall also leaves behind his sister, Marsha (Stephen) Battaglini of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Wendall "Wink" (Becky) Watkins and Scott (Kelly) Watkins, both of Columbia Cross Roads. He will be fondly remembered by several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Judy L. (Antes) Watkins, who passed on December 31, 2010, his father, Lazzell M. Watkins, and his father-in-law Howard Antes.
A memorial gathering to honor Marshall's life will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 1093 West Main St. Troy, PA. Burial will take place in Bradford County Memorial Park at the convenience of his family.
Memorial contributions may be made in Marshall's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Troy Fair C/O Tractor Pull Committee, 436 Gate One Lane, Troy, PA 16947.
