Obituary of Marta Doris Cabrera
Marta Doris Cabrera passed away peacefully at home in the comforting presence of her family on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the age of 65. She is preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Cabrera Valencia and brother, Jose Mauricio Cabrera. Left to cherish Marta's memory are her mother, Mercedes Merino-Mejia Cabrera; husband, Miguel Angel Rivera; daughters, Doris Rivera, Samantha Rivera, and Melissa Rivera; brothers, Celman Cabrera, and Ruperto Cabrera; sisters, Ana Granados and Nelly Morales; grandchildren, Miguel Angel, Leylah, Nathan, Ayleen, and Felix; along with a host of many other family and friends.
Marta was a wonderful and nurturing wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was always putting the needs and wants of others before her own. Marta was always helping others, especially doing pro-bono work for underprivileged children and elders. She truly felt a calling to help people and enjoyed working hard to do so. Marta had an optimistic outlook on life and was known as everyone's favorite "Tia". She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral Services for Marta will be held at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland. (5530 W. Broadway St, Pearland, Texas 77581) Visitation will take place on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The Service will take place the following day, Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow t service at Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland, Texas.
