Martha Ruth Acrey was born July 11, 1934, and departed this life Wednesday, September 10, 2025, reaching the age of 91 years. She was the daughter of the late Linza "Champ" Guffey and Pearl (Rhoades) Guffey.

She married Roba Acrey on October 5, 1951; he passed away on October 2, 2005.

She is survived by: two daughters, Gwen Leffew and Josephine Morris; one son, Tommy Acrey; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren and one on the way. She is also survived by: her sisters, Vivian Stonecipher and Wanda Lane; and one brother, Kenny Guffey; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by: one son, Dennis Acrey; two brothers, William "Mack" Guffey and Wes Guffey; son-in-law, Billy Morris; one grandchild, Dewayne Patton; and one great grandchild, Kelly Marie.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 12, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Choate Cemetery.
