Martha Allred Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Broussard's Mortuary - Major Drive on Nov. 8, 2022.
Martha Cupit Allred, 87, of Beaumont, died Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on May 22, 1935, to Rosalie Garrett Cupit and Thomas Cupit, in Natchez, Mississippi.
Martha dedicated her life to taking care of her husband and children. Even though she was not an outdoor enthusiast, to be with her family she went camping, snow skiing, canoeing, and boating. She even hiked the Grand Canyon, Guadeloupe, and Big Ben. Everyone knew there was a gourmet meal at the end of the day. Her passion was focused on cooking delicious meals every night. Martha had a reputation in the neighborhood. All the children on and around Continental Lane showed up at our door to receive fresh bread, delicious deserts, and gourmet dinners. Her dedication to her family showed through her passion in cooking. Attention was taken by her children who could feel the love from her heart. No other has shown more love to Rudy, children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Dr. Rudy Allred; children, Gerald Allred and his wife, Debbie, of Dallas; Jim Allred and his wife, Jane; of Austin; Dr. Terri German and her husband, Bobby, of Beaumont; and Dr. Cheryl Nelson and her husband, Steve, of Lumberton; grandchildren, Chris Allred, Matt Allred, Jacob Allred, Andrew Allred, Melanie Allred, Van German, Zach German, Emily Nicotre and her husband, Troy, Taz Nelson, and Luke Nelson and his wife, Taylor; great-grandchildren, Rhyder Allred, Mindy Nicotre, and William Nelson; sister, Rose Cole; and brother, Tom Cupit.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering of Mrs. Allred's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
