TIPP CITY -- Martha Ann Archer passed away on August 28, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH. Born on June 14, 1936 in Wichita, Kansas to Hugh Charles and Ruby Blackwell Kilpatrick. She attended grade school in Greensburg, Kansas and graduated from high school in Enterprise, Kansas. Marty also attended Brown Mackie Business College in Salina, Kansas. Marty married Ken Garner at the Grand Avenue Methodist Church in Salina, Kansas in 1956. They had a daughter, Tanda and a son Rodney (Ann) Garner.
The Garners lived in Ohio and West Virginia before returning to Ohio. They divorced. She then married Robert Archer at Tipp City United Methodist Church on June 27, 1992.Marty worked many years for NCR in Dayton as a Fleet Insurance Manager. She retired from NCR In 1994.Marty was well known for her beautiful home decorations and fashionable wardrobe which included many items she sewed herself. Marty excelled at entertaining family and friends and her cooking was always in much demand..She and Bob have lived in Tipp City for many years and were active members of the community until health issues limited her involvement.She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Ellen Garner.Marty is survived by her husband Bob, a daughter Tanda and a son Rod and his wife Ann and a stepson Jason and his wife Michelle. 2 grandchildren Tiffany Zimmerman and husband Scott and Ben Garner and wife Lauren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 sister Susan Kilpatrick Taylor and 1 niece Tracy Smith.
Visitation 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 3, 2021at the Community Bible Church, Tipp City; Pastor Jeff Seekins, officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH 45371. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Marty to SICSA and Pet Adoption Wellness Center, 8172 Washington Church Rd, Washington Township, OH 45458.
