Martha Beightler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ingram Funeral Home - Marysville on Mar. 29, 2024.
Martha A. "Marty" Beightler, 75, of Marysville, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 27, 2024, at Prestige Gardens after months of failing health.
Marty was born August 10, 1948, in Columbus to the late Oliver Smith and Imo Simpson. A natural caregiver, she worked as a home health aide, as well as for Memorial Hospital and Heartland of Marysville, now known as Prestige Gardens, through the years. She loved to be outdoors and take her children camping, and she also enjoyed working word puzzles. Outspoken and "spicey," Marty got a kick out of looking through Facebook and watching monkey videos to make her laugh. A woman dedicated to her family, she loved her daughters, and absolutely adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marty is survived by her daughters, Judy Bowland of Marysville, and Ruth "Fuzz" (Rachel Wygant) Hampton of West Mansfield; 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren; siblings Debra Weber and James Smith; her much loved "fur-kid" Zoe; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Along with her parents, Marty was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph E. "Eddie" Beightler Jr. on January 16, 2015; a son, James "Jimmy" Bowland; great granddaughter Elizabeth; and sister Shirley Hoover.
Calling hours will be from 11am -1 pm Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Ingram Funeral Home, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville, where funeral services will begin promptly at 1 pm with Rev. James Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery next to her husband, Eddie.
