Martha Jane Bowerman

Martha J. Rowland Bowerman, 79, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away October 1, 2024. She was born January 16, 1945, in Hot Springs to Alex and Nellie (Harper) Rowland.
Martha had the kind of personality that all who met her were drawn to. She loved life, hunting, fishing, cooking, garage sales, opening up her home to get the family together or help someone get back on their feet.
Martha loved her family, each and every one of them, but mostly she loved God. She was a prayer warrior with a gift from God! If anyone asked for prayer or if she saw someone that needed prayer, she was on it. She's been the rock that our family could always depend on, and she loved all of us unconditionally. To say we're going to miss her seems so inadequate.
Martha was funny, loving, caring, and she was motherly to so many of us. And there was another side. Being older than the two youngest sisters, nieces, and nephews, she was full of advice, "you need to do this" or "that", all the way up to her last breath – and everyone of us are grown. Those of us that really knew her knew this side of her. We called her "The Boss".
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul, Johnny, Jack, and Mack Rowland.
Survivors include her stepson, Gary Bowerman (Wendy); stepdaughter, Christi Thurber (Shane); brothers, David Rowland, Joe Rowland; sisters, Liz Williams, Vicki Rowland Spivey, Kary Sullivan (Pat); step-grandchildren, Dakota Simpson, Dylan Simpson, Chase Simpson, and Michael Tosh; her Aunt Shirley Harper; many nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends, who loved her beyond measure.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6th at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
A celebration of Martha's life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 7th at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Bro. Van Glidwell officiating. Please feel free to wear camo or Razorback shirts in Martha's honor.
Burial will follow at Lowe Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Gary Bowerman, Gerad Williams, Bert Rowland, Jeff Maner, Seth Rowland, and Connor Garibay.
Honorary pallbearers are Pat Sullivan, Raymond Elmore, Bryan Fisher, nieces and nephews, and Helen Lavine.
She was definitely one of a kind, and we all love and miss her.
