Martha Newberry Bush

Mrs. Martha Newberry Bush of Colquitt, GA died Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Colquitt Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Stanfill and Rev. Carrie Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Newberry Cemetery with Stephen Starling, Rob Steng, Ian Cross, Hunter Green, Caleb Starling, Henry Perez,  Henry Kennedy, George Clark and Jason Bush serving as active pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr Joseph Grimsley, Drew Hulliard, Wayne Wilburn, Charles Davis and Parks Callan.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Colquitt Methodist Church.

Mrs. Martha was a former Co-Owner of Newberry Angus Farms, Co-Owner of the former Carousel Children's Clothing Store in Colquitt, as well as Owner of the Kiddie College in Colquitt. She was a member of Colquitt Methodist Church and a former member of The Georgia Council for the Arts.

Mrs. Martha is survived by two daughters, Lea (Stephen) Starling of St. Petersburg, FL, and Claire (Robert John Steng) Bush of Albany, GA; five grandchildren, Robert Ian (Robyn Kimsey) Cross, Jade Alexandra Green, Hunter Levi Green, Carlie Starling, and Caleb Starling; one great-grandson, William Cole Cross; and one sister, Gloria (Drew) Nan Hilliard of Baker Co, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leron Bush; and parents, Dorothy and Willie Carlton Newberry.
