Martha Estell Cage

Martha Estell Cage, 82, a resident of Elkins passed from this life Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Davis Medical Center.
Martha was born Sunday, February 7, 1943, in Washington D.C., a daughter of the late Edwin Harrison Cage and Rebecca Estell Kammerer Cage. She had never married.
Left to cherish Martha's memory is her sister, Priscilla Louise Porton and husband, William, of Winter Garden, FL, her nephews, John William Porton and wife, Ronda, and David Christopher Porton and wife, Sandra, a great nephew, Jacob Eugene Porton, great niece, Emily Rebecca Porton, and Brandon Avery Porton Dahlberg whom she treated as a great nephew.
Martha graduated from Northwood High School in Silver Spring, Maryland. She continued her education obtaining her bachelor's degree from Frostburg State College and completed her master's degree in social work from the University of Maryland's school of social work in Baltimore, MD. She went on to work for the WV Department of Health and Human Resources.
Martha enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, and planting flowers. Another of her past times was spent in genealogy studies. She had been a member of the of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Mill Creek Presbyterian Church.
Visitation for Martha will be held at the Otterbein United Methodist Church Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 10 am until 11 am, the funeral hour. Pastor Cindy Morgan-Roberts will officiate, and interment will follow in Elkins Memorial Gardens on Country Club Road.
