Martha Frances Carter

Funeral services for Martha Frances Henry Carter, 85, will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Cheniere Baptist Church in West Monroe. Bro. Bodie Spicer will be officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Frances was born on October 19, 1940 in Wilhite, Louisiana and passed away March 13, 2026 at her residence in West Monroe. Frances loved puzzles, needle work, mostly cross stitch and quilting, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed music, especially hymns and loved to cook and garden. Her biggest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frances was a faithful member of Cheniere Baptist Church.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Carter, Sr. "Johnny"; parents, Howard and Bessie Henry; sister, Annie Jean Henry; brother and sister-in-law, Harold Henry, Sr. and Ann Henry; nephews, Harold Henry, Jr. and Chris Henry; and brother-in-law, Arthur Mott.

Frances leaves behind her children, John Alton Carter, Jr., Greg Carter (Robbie) and Holley Carter (Dean); grandchildren, Jessica Carter Reeves and Jonathan Carter; great-grandchildren, Nate and Alex Reeves, Henry, Clara and Nolan Carter; sister, Doris Mott; brother, WT Henry (Linda); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; along with other extended family and friends.

Honoring Frances as pallbearers will be Brad Henry, Dean Bayles, Brett Bennett, Chris Diel, Bobby Moffett, Wayne Heckford, Gerald Pool and Jeff Greer. Honorary pallbearers will be WT Henry, Paul Rao and Hugh Hinton.
