Martha Jane Wyatt Couch, 83, of rural Louisiana, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at SSM St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO. The Rev. Tom Cooper will officiate. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana, MO. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Martha was born on October 12, 1942 to Hurschel and Edith Wyatt. She was married to Richard Couch on May 12, 1973 in Bowling Green, MO and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2017.

She is survived by her sons Lewis Motley of Lavaca, AR, and Tony Motley of Louisiana, MO, daughters Celia Gerber of Louisiana, MO, Penny Roan of Louisiana, MO, Elizabeth Bowen (Clifton) of Bowling Green, MO, Marcy Burleson (Rod) of Louisiana, MO, and Toni Shepard (Lew) of Louisiana, MO, her grandchildren Terry Couch, Ashley Grisham, Lance Mitchell, Brice Motley, Laura Jennings, Rebecca Jennings, Malarie Motley, Kayden Motley, Jeffrey Clayton, Zach Whitehead, Justin House, Katie Cannon, Jesse DeCamp, Jason DeCamp, Kristen Shepard, Brooke Shepard, Ann Gonzalez, Stacy Pablo, Crystal Gollaher, Lonnie Gollaher, and Rachel Whitaker, 34 great grandchildren, a brother Wayne Wyatt (Joanne) of Monet, MO, sisters Janet Lynch (Willard) of Kinderhook, IL, Vicky Hart (Stuart) of Kinderhook, IL, and Brenda Davie of Quincy, IL, sisters in-law Gloria McDonald of Hull, MO and Martha Caldwell (Donald) of Ashburn, MO, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hurschel and Edith Wyatt, husband Richard Couch, husband Larry Motley, 2 children Marcia and Larry Arthur Motley, 2 brothers Jack McDonald and Roger Wyatt, and 2 grandchildren Paula Rose Motley and Andrew Mitchell.

In her early years she worked at Motorola and then she was a stay at home mom and grandmother. She was a Baptist and woman of faith, reading her Bible daily. She enjoyed bird watching, puzzles, and search words. She also enjoyed horseback riding and was a member of Road Riders for Jesus.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brice Motley and Terry Couch II. Active pallbearers will be Lance Mitchell, Zachary Whitehead, Justin House, Jeffrey Clayton, Kayden Motley, and Jason DeCamp.
