Martha Jane Driscoll, 92, of Monmouth, IL passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Courtyard Estates, Monmouth, IL.
Martha was born February 1, 1933, in Monmouth the youngest of 9 children of Lawrence Roy and Mary Rose (Gavin) Thompson. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School.
Martha married W. Claire Driscoll on May 27, 1953, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Monmouth and he passed away on December 19, 2012.
Martha worked for Dekalb Seed in Monmouth as a secretary before becoming a stay-at-home Mom, raising and taking care of her family. She later was co-owner of Fitness First and Merle Norman Cosmetic in Monmouth.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and the Alter and Rosary Society at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Aledo, IL. Martha loved going to auctions, yard sales, cooking and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Peg Watson, Susan (Kenny) Byers and Rosie (Harvey) Kesinger; grandchildren; Jared (Jennifer) McCreight, Andy (Amanda) McCreight; David (Marcy) Sturgill, Tyler (Amanda) Sturgill, Brian (Amanda) Byers, Kevin Byers, Blake Byers and Jason (Nicole) Brockett; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; son-in-law, Randy Louck; her sister, Grace Dollinger; brother-in-law, David (Carol) Driscoll; sister-in-law, Donna Driscoll; numerous nieces and nephews; dear friend, Rose Youngquist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughter, Mary Louck; granddaughter, Katie Kesinger; great-granddaughter, Novally Paige Sturgill; son-in-law, Danny Watson; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, January 5, 2026, at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Monmouth. Visitation will be Monday morning from 9:30-11:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or OSF Hospice and sent to the funeral home.
