Martha Ann Wilhelm Duncan, 86, of Statesville, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House of Iredell County.
She was born January 29, 1938, in Iredell County, and was the daughter of the late Wade Victor Wilhelm and Mary Granger Wilhelm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marcia Lee Wilhelm, and Betty W. Henderson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, David Ray Sells (Sherry) and daughter, Teresa Sells Fox (Melvin); 4 grandchildren, Jonathon D. Sells (Janna), Brittany Sells Boggs (James), Matthew L. Sells, Stacey Fox Bell (David); 8 grandchildren, and a niece, Phyllis H. Price (Jerry).
Martha was a graduate of Statesville High School and was of the Baptist faith. She retired in 2008 from Hunt Manufacturing/Speedball where she worked in production on the blister machine and in packing. She loved being outdoors and working in her yard. Martha loved music and singing. Socializing with her friends brought her much joy. More than anything, Martha was a wonderful mother who looked after her children well.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 28 at Nicholson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Nicholson Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Pharr officiating. The graveside service will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Sells, Matthew Sells, James Boggs, David Bell, Ben Price, and Anthony (Tony) Ottone, Sr.
The family would like to give a special thanks to The Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County and Sherrie’s In-Home Care.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
