Funeral services for Martha Frances “Frannie” Albritton White, age 100, will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at University Church of Christ with Pastor Jerry Hodge officiating. A visitation hour with the family will begin before the service at 10:00 a.m. at the church, and interment will follow with a private graveside service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Bernice, Louisiana.
Frances was the daughter of Rufus and Ora Albritton and was born in Farmerville, Louisiana on September 8, 1925. She grew up in a large and loving family with siblings: Everett, Victor, Gordon, Darlene and Henry. She married Joe White of Bernice, Louisiana, with whom she had two sons, David and Paul. After their move to Shreveport, she loved her work in the jewelry business, working for C.E. Mounce Jewelers for many years and later for Lockhart Jewelers. Frances will be remembered most for her contagious positive outlook on life and the way she naturally encouraged others. She truly never met a stranger and exuded lavish and genuine affection, especially for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed the extended family of her community at University Church of Christ and rarely missed an opportunity for their regular gatherings.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings. She is survived by her sons, David White and Paul White and wife, Cheryl; grandsons, Michael White and wife, Kari, Christopher White and fiancée, Sarah; and great-granddaughters, Addison White and Chloe White. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Peggy Albritton. Frances leaves behind a large family of cousins, nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael White, Christopher White, John Albritton, Brad Albritton, Jeremy Albritton and Eric Post. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Keith Lockhart and Gus Marcotte.
A special thanks to her niece, Karen Post, who gave such loving attention to her in the final days of her earthly life.
Frannie always loved flowers but would encourage donations to a favorite charity on her behalf.
