Martha Faye Griffith

Martha Faye, “Mom Faye” Griffith, age 93 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, November 24, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her most.

 Known affectionately as “Mom Faye”, Faye lived her life devoted to God and the people that she cherished – her family. They were her joy, her purpose, and her heart. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was especially known for the way she spoiled them all. She did everything from being a short order cook to patching scraped knees and mending torn jeans. She could solve most problems, soothe most hurts and meet most needs. She lived her life serving others with warmth, steadiness, and endless care.

She was well educated, a Cleveland TN debutante and gifted actress who starred in many performances in her early years. She carried herself with poise and those who knew her knew that she was a real-life princess.

 She was a faithful Christian and attended worship at the Rossville Church of Christ. She lived out her faith with sincerity, humility, and love.

 Alongside her beloved husband Don, she traveled throughout Europe, Asia and the United States attending various motorcycle events and enjoying the adventure. One of her favorite events was watching her son Garry race at Daytona and Road Atlanta on his motorcycles. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, JH and Beatrice Smithers; her husband, Donald Griffith and her son, Terrance Franklin Griffith.

 She is survived by her son, Garry (Dava) Griffith and her grandchildren, Crystal Harrison, Korian Bradley, Jefferson Griffith, Shelby Faye Griffith, Lindsey Griffith, and 6 great grandchildren. 

The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Poole Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm. Visitation will continue November 26, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 am.

 A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel with Minister Reid Perry officiating. Faye will be laid to rest at Fort Hill Cemetery beside her beloved husband.
