Martha Hines Obituary
Martha Ann Hines, 87, of Winterville passed away on August 30, 2025. Born on August 29, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Stonewall Strickland and Nellie Mae Barber Strickland.
Ann was a long-time member of Winterville United Methodist Church. She was a long-time member of Happy Squares, a square-dancing club in Athens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan William Hines.
Survivors include daughter, Heidi Teressa Spratlin (Harry); grandchildren, Brant William Spratlin (Shannon) and Mallory Spratlin Finger (Tyler); great grandchildren, Ava Van Hull, Isabella Spratlin and Laken Finger; sister, Carol Strickland Bridges (Mark).
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Lord & Stephens, East. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their gratitude to St Mary’s Hospice, including Melissa, Lori, Becky, Robin, and Don, for their exceptional care for Ann during her time of need.
