Martha Jimenez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home on Dec. 13, 2025.
In Loving Memory of Martha Jimenez
Martha Jimenez, 59, passed away December 6, 2025. She was born September 27, 1966 in Aurora, Illinois to Luz Maria Burgos and Confessor Jimenez.
Martha was a cherished daughter, beloved mother, loving sister, devoted aunt and proud grandmother. Above all else, she loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. Martha touched the lives of many, and was known for her radiant smile, her kindness, and her ability to create a space where laughter was abundant.
Martha loved dancing and music, especially Salsa, Merengue and old-school music – which always brought joy and life to any room she entered. Funny, joyful and full of life, she faced every challenge with remarkable strength and an unwavering positive outlook. She endured hardships that would have broken many, yet she never lost her joy or her belief in brighter days ahead.
Martha had a heart that knew no limits. If she had only a dollar in her pocket, she would give it to someone else in need. Her generosity was instinctive, her compassion effortless. She was known for her beautiful green eyes, which reflected the kindness and warmth she carried within her soul. She never missed a birthday – always making sure to call and remind her family how special they were to her. Her love was steady, dependable and deeply felt.
Martha's strength, generosity, humor, love of music and dance, and her compassion will forever be remembered. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing her love lives on in every life she touched. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
Martha's favorite quote:
"Martha was here, but now she's gone. She left her name to carry on, for those who knew her knew her well and everyone else can go to hell."
WE WILL FOREVER AND ALWAYS LOVE YOU!! <3
Martha is survived by her beloved mother, Luz Maria Burgos; her children, Vanessa Sosa, Sylvia Martinez, Jose Rey Sosa and Samuel (Ashley) Sosa; her grandchildren, William Diaz, Xavier Diaz, Amado Martinez Jr., Manuel Martinez, Santino Sosa, Joseph Sosa, Cattleya Sosa and Noelani Martinez; her siblings, Lucinda Jimenez-McBride (William), Samuel Jimenez (Colethia), Maria Elena Jimenez, Caridad Jimenez (Steven) and Gisenia Montgomery (Courtney). She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who lovingly knew her as "Titi", and many more extended family members and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Confessor Jimenez; her sister, Jeanette Jimenez; her niece, Stephanie Arlequin; and her son-in-law, Amado Martinez.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home, 435 North York Street, Elmhurst. In life, martha often shared her wish to be laid to rest alongside her beloved dad.
