Martha King

Martha King, age 61, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
Born on January 6, 1964, in Marietta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late J.M. and Betty Kirby. Martha was a devoted member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Martha loved her family deeply and treasured her time with each of them. She found great joy in sewing and loved animals, especially her beloved dogs.
Martha will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her loving yet determined spirit, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Tony Crumbley, Rhonda Wynn, Rex Kirby and Jack Crumbley.
Martha is survived by her husband, Jerry "Pebo" King; children, Amanda Abercrombie (Justin Scoggins), Tara Fowler (Larry) and Amy Worley (Talon); grandchildren, Angel Richards, Austin Richards, Haley Riddle, Kadin Greene, Graci Greene, Brilynn Fowler, Malaki Worley and Piper Worley; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Billy Crumbley, Rachel Crumbley and Michael Kirby; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Keown officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 5th from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Martha will lie-in-state at the church on Thursday one hour prior to the funeral service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Talon Worley, Austin Richards, Carlos Morales, Adam Richards, Steve Richardson and Jason Gray.
