Martha Sue “Susie” McGlohn, age 98 of Gallatin, TN, passed away December 10, 2024. Mrs. McGlohn was born August 22, 1926 in Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Richard H. McGlohn, Sr., parents, James W. Billington, Sr. and Lorene Griggs Billington, brothers, Bill and Ronnie Billington and sister, Evelyn “Oga” Billington Epps. She is survived by son, Richard H. “Rick” McGlohn, Jr. (Joyce Platz), daughter, Donna McGlohn Vick (Dennis), grandson, Jamey Vick (Hadley), granddaughter, Courtney Vick, nephews, Raymond D. “Pete” Epps, Wallace Billington and Brian Billington, niece, Kim Billington Pantall (Todd) and sister-in-law, Wanda Billington Connelly (Bobby).
Mrs. McGlohn was a graduate and cheerleader at North High School in Nashville, TN. She was manager of Executive House Apartments for 15+ years and was a member of First Baptist Gallatin. Mrs. McGlohn was a life-long avid Vanderbilt fan. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her physician, Sara Francis Martin, M.D. and Ian Cullen, Chaplain both at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Also, the family wants to express their appreciation to her special friends Ken & Sylvia Haskins, Jean Wright and Louis Davis.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 16th at Sumner Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Penfield officiating.
