Florence Jewell McGlohn was born on September 19, 1931, to the late James and Beulah Richard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After a journey with Alzheimer's disease, Florence entered eternal rest at the home of her daughter in Arizona on October 30, 2025.

She could be seen sitting on her porch, cup of coffee in hand with either a newspaper or magazine, reading and completing crossword puzzles. Something she continued enjoying once moving to Arizona in 2020.
