Frank Scotti Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home - Union on Jan. 1, 2026.
Frank J. Scotti, a cherished family man, skilled mechanic, and all-around great man, neighbor and friend, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the age of 72 in Tinton Falls, NJ, after a courageous battle with a rare, aggressive, and debilitating disease, Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA). Despite the heartbreak of losing his beloved wife, Susan, five years ago and being struck with this terrible illness, Frank maintained such a positive outlook, and he held on as long as he could, never complaining about his decline or all the challenges it brought. Frank's life was characterized by his love for his family, his passion for fishing and the outdoors, and his remarkable ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him.
Frank's journey began in the heart of New York City, after which his family moved to Union, NJ, where he grew up surrounded by the love and support of his family. After graduating from Union High School, he immediately found his calling as a car and truck mechanic, a profession that not only showcased his incredible talent for fixing things but also reflected his hardworking and diligent nature.
Married to his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, Susan, who predeceased him, Frank was a dedicated husband and father. He is survived by his three loving children, Melissa Scotti and her husband Tim Rondhuis, Brian Scotti, and Kristen Scotti. His sister, Alberta Albanus, and her husband Leonard Cacciatore, along with Alberta's son Jeffrey Albanus, his wife Julie, and their children Jennifer and Jason, also hold dear the memories they created with Frank. His brother, Mark Scotti, his wife Adriana, and their children Joseph, Ariana and her husband Jack Suiter and their daughter Silvia, Vincent and his wife Nalani, and Christopher, will fondly remember the moments of laughter together.
An avid fisherman, Frank relished the serenity of the early morning hours spent on his boat, casting lines and waiting for the catch of the day. His love for the water was paralleled only by his love for his family. He never missed an opportunity to cheer on his children at their school and sports events, embodying the role of their greatest supporter.
Known as the life of every family BBQ, Frank's presence at the grill was as much a tradition as the gatherings themselves. His joy was palpable on sunny days spent at the Jersey Shore, where he basked in the sun and the waves, creating lasting memories with his loved ones. While he always had great taste in music, something he shared with both his sister, Alberta and brother, Mark, he developed a deep love for country music over the past 15 years. Together they enjoyed many live concerts together, taking in the great music as well as having fun tailgating.
At home, Frank was the relentless handyman, always ready with his toolbox to fix anything that needed repair. Somehow, there was nothing that Frank couldn't fix or solve. His sense of humor was as reliable as his handy skills, and he was always quick to share a joke and a smile, brightening the days of those around him.
Described by those who knew him as loving, handy, and funny, Frank's legacy is one of unwavering love, a knack for fixing the broken, and a spirit that could lift the heaviest of hearts. His absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know him, but his spirit will continue to live on through the stories, laughter, and love he left behind.
Frank Scotti will be remembered not just for the life he led but for the countless lives he touched with his warmth and generosity. As we say farewell to this remarkable man, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that brought light to so many. Rest in peace, Frank; your memory will forever be a beacon of love in our hearts.
