Martha was born on April 27th, 1958 to Bob and Frances Amsler (nee Robeson, later Hedin) in Newport News, VA. She attended Tulane University, where she received a B.S. in Psychology. Martha met and later married John McGlynn on June 16th, 1984, in New Orleans, LA. The couple celebrated their 40th anniversary this year.
She is predeceased by both parents and survived by her husband, John; daughters Erin Thompson of Sparta, MI and her husband Ryan, and Kelly McGlynn of Huntsville, AL;
brother Robert Amsler of Catlett, VA and his wife Julie, and sister Frances Hail of Crockett, TX. Martha could light up a room, just by walking in...she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will take place in early 2025.
