Martha Diann Sams Morrison, devoted wife, mother and caregiver, 74, of Parkersburg, WV passed away Sunday March 31, 2024 surrounded by her family.
She was born March 17, 1950 in Parkersburg, WV a daughter to Berndetta Louise (Babe) Stephens and David "Jr" Andrew Stephens.
Diann worked as a CNA for years at the Masonic Home and Willows Nursing Home. She also was a devoted caregiver to her loving mother and other family members through the years. Diann loved her family and covered her home with photos of them. She loved her 5 cats and took care of the strays in the neighborhood.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Ronald L. Morrison; son, Sheldon Morrison of Parkersburg, WV; daughter, Rhonda (Russell) Cunningham of Coolville, OH, Barbara Caplinger of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren, Tiffany (Zach) Sarber of Maryland, Alyssa Cunningham of Parkersburg, WV, Samantha (Evan) Summers of Davisville, WV, Sheldon Morrison of Parkersburg, WV, Tyler Morrison of Virginia; 11 great grandchildren; loving nieces, Shelly Leasure, Janell Sams, and Tonya Searingen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Sams, William Sams, Thomas Sams; sister, Brenda Eddy; and one grandson, Daniel David Morrison.
Per Diann's wishes, there will be no services at this time.
