Martha Noah Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Delaney Funeral Home - Marceline on Mar. 9, 2026.
Martha Lou Noah, 89, of Marceline, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 8, 2026.

Martha was born on October 19, 1936, in Nevada, Missouri, the daughter of E. Paul Williams and Nellie Mabele (Ford) Williams.

Martha attended Chillicothe Beauty Academy in Chillicothe and worked for several years as a beautician at Lady Marceline in Marceline. Throughout her life she held several roles in the community, including working at Campus Photo and providing daycare for many families in Marceline. She took great pride in caring for others and being part of the lives of the children she watched over.

On November 11, 1953, she married Oley Greene Noah. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2012.

Martha enjoyed many hobbies and interests throughout her life. She loved sewing and bowling, often bowling with family and participating in tournaments. She was an avid sports fan, especially baseball, football, and women's basketball, and she followed the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. One of her greatest joys was attending and watching the sporting events of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was a lifelong member of Bethany Baptist Church in Marceline and valued her church family and faith.

Martha is survived by her son, Rick Noah (Diane) of Moberly, Missouri; her daughter, Angela "Angie" Collins (John) of Brookfield, Missouri; her grandchildren, Vanessa Knaebel of Kansas City, Alisha Pinkerton (Craig) of O'Fallon, Constance Achele (Zack) of Washington, D.C., Houston Noah of Moberly, Desiree Pezley (Ryan) of Mexico, Missouri, Damon Collins (Mary) of Princeton, Missouri, Derek Collins (Amber) of Marceline, Dalyn Presley (Ryan) of Mexico, Missouri, and Dexter Collins of Brookfield; as well as many great-grandchildren including Gabi Sewell, Maxx, Maelyn, McCoy Achele, twins Kaleb and Adelyn Noah, Luke, Ella, Oley and Brix Pezley, Kinsley, Kasen and Kennedy Collins, Albert Joseph and Addy Collins, and Evelyn and Vollie Presley. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oley Noah; her parents, E. Paul and Nellie Williams; her parents-in-law, Oley Sr. and Zelma Noah; and her brothers, Paul Williams, Slim Williams, and Stan Williams.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with Pastor Jeremy Blackburn officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
