Obituary of Martha Pijanowski
Martha Pijanowski, 91, of Auburndale, FL passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at The Good Shepherd Hospice Lakeland Hospice House.
Born November 5, 1932, to Joseph and Maria Van Grenberghen in La Louviere, Belgium.
She married her husband Frank Pijanowski in 1952. Along with their first child, Raymonde, they emigrated to the United States in 1955. Martha became a naturalized as a United Stated Citizen on February 14, 1961.
She moved to Florida from Southington, Connecticut to Auburndale in 2004.
Many of her hobbies she enjoyed during her life were painting, crocheting, knitting, canning and entering items she made in the local fair. Later in life she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She spent her working years in retail sales.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pijanowski, a daughter Raymonde Bergel and a grandchild, Kayla Pianowski.
She is survived by her son, Jean-Marc H. Pianowski of Winter Haven; and two grandchildren, Alexa and Kyle Pianowski.
The family will receive friends at 9:00am, Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Graveside Services will follow at 10:00am in Auburndale Cemetery.
