Martha Pilcher Obituary
Dr. Pilcher was born in Worth County, Georgia, the daughter of Robert and Lillian Bridges Glover. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in the Class of 1950. She met her husband, Dr. George Stapleton Pilcher, who preceded her in death in 1990, at medical school and they moved to Louisville in 1950. Dr. Geraldine Pilcher practiced medicine at the VA Hospital in Augusta, GA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Louisville. She was a gracious woman who supported her children through all of their educational, post-graduate, and professional endeavors.
Dr. Pilcher is survived by Jane Pilcher Bachman and children Frank, Beth, and Benjamin, of Atlanta; Dr. George and Dottie Pilcher and children George, Emily, Camille, and Elizabeth, of Jacksonville, FL; Dr. Martha Pilcher-Broadlick and Jim Broadlick and children William and Savannah, of Edmonds, WA; Dr. Robert and Joy Pilcher and children Sarah, Sumner, and Rob, of Albany, GA; Drs. William and Drema Pilcher and children William and Ashley, of Jacksonville, FL.
