Martha “Martie” Ann Salter, 87, Overland Park, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, after several years of battling Dementia/Alzheimer’s.
Martie was born May 24, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, to John and Isabella (Wenk) Morrison. She grew up in Upper Darby, PA, and graduated from Upper Darby High School. She then moved to Broomall, PA with her husband Robert “Bob” Salter, where they began to raise their family. In 1978, the family relocated to Spring, TX. In 2021, Martie and Bob moved to Overland Park, KS, where she resided the rest of her life.
Martie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bob Salter; three children: Stephen Salter (Krista), Patricia Davis (Ted), and Diane Eschbacher (Tom); seven grandchildren: Lindsay Dryden (Patrick), Ned Davis (Ashley), Matthew Salter, McKayla Davis, Kelsey Salter, Emily Eschbacher, Edward Eschbacher; and two great-grandchildren: Wade Dryden, and Coe Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jane Burns and Jane’s husband, Bob Burns.
