Martha Slade Obituary
She was born June 18, 1946 in Pender County, daughter of the late Graham and Mildred Currie Carr.
She is survived by three sons, Robert W. Canady Jr., David P. Canady, and John P. Canady all of Rocky Point; two daughters, Martha C. Thrower of Rocky Point and Rebecca A. Canady of Wilmington; fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Parker and Catherine Frey.
Martha loved the Lord and she loved her family. Her hobby was crafting reborn doll babies. Martha loved her furry friend Buddy. She enjoyed music, she liked to sing and she enjoyed playing the piano.
A memorial service will be announced in the near future.

Martha was a sweet and loving person and had the most beautiful singing voice ever. Her doll making was so special and her dolls looked so real. I've known Martha for many years but had lost touch with each other. I knew her as a loving and caring mother and always tried to please others. She will surely be missed
