Martha S. Special

1929 - 2021

Martha Sarah Special, 92, of Greensburg, died Friday, April 30, 2021, in Weatherwood Manor. She was born in Pittsburgh March 15, 1929, a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Special. She was Catholic by faith. Prior to retirement, she worked as an auditor for the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General. Martha was an avid bowler, enjoyed bingo and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lights of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Bailey Jr.; great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Giunto; two brothers, Pete and Frank Special; a sister, Betty Special; and also, her former husband, Charles Bailey. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Bailey Washburn (William); granddaughter, Marti Washburn Giunto; grandson, Chuck Washburn (Kayla); great- granddaughters, Lilly Giunto, Anna Giunto, Charleigh Washburn and Teagan Washburn; great-grandson, Nicholas Giunto; also, several nieces and nephews. Services for Martha will be private and are being handled by KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, Greensburg.
