Mrs. Martha Lavelle Tibbitts

Mrs. Martha Lavelle Tibbitts, age 93, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 surrounded by her family at Wellstar Paulding Hospital.
Martha was born on July 29, 1932 in Dallas, Georgia to Mr. Bevie Homer Thomason and Mrs. Esterlena Sligh Thomason. She was married to the late Rev. J. Green Tibbitts for many years until his passing in 2003. She was a faithful member of Narroway Baptist Church. Martha was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. J. Green Tibbitts; step-mother, Rena Sanford Thomason; siblings, Waitcel Thomason, Guy Thomason, and Clyde Thomason.
Martha is survived by her children; Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts (Sherry), Joan Ratteree (Tony), Lynn Shipp (Tim); grandchildren, Jeff Tibbitts (Angie), Jennifer Maddox (Blake), Ryan Shipp (Danielle), Magan Foy (Chris); great grandchildren, Landon Tibbitts (Shelby), Hutt Tibbitts (Brittany), Evan Maddox, Ethan Maddox, Aiden Maddox, Casen Shipp, and Hayden Shipp; great great grandchildren, Lily Tibbitts, Jessie Green Tibbitts, Lane Tibbitts, Tate Tibbitts; sister, Eloise Wilson; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Marie Thomason; sister-in-law, Fannie Holcomb; other extended family and friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Martha Tibbitts will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 12 P.M. at Narroway Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Ryan Shipp, Blake Maddox, Evan Maddox, Ethan Maddox, Aiden Maddox, Chris Foy, Casen Shipp, Hayden Shipp, Landon Tibbitts, and Hutt Tibbitts.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jessie Tibbitts, Lane Tibbitts, Tate Tibbitts, Tony Ratteree, and Tim Shipp.
Visitation for Mrs. Tibbitts will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
