Martha Louise Timmons Beaver, 83, of
Monroe City, MO passed away at 9:26 PM, Friday, December 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She lost her battle with cancer and won her eternal reward in Heaven. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through over 5 months with manageable pain and an urgency to share the love of Jesus with everyone she encountered.

Martha had 19 great grandchildren with the 20th due to be born very soon. Also, after the death of her son Mike, Barb Smith (Tom) and their children, Jonathan and Abbigail were loved into the family. Additional family includes numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a special daughter in love, Connie Benson.
For more than half their married life Martha and Carl raised their family and lived on the farm. There they instilled in their children the value and importance of love, family, a strong work ethic and most importantly faith in God! Some of the life lessons learned there were difficult and not always fun. However, their kids always seemed to find a way to have fun in the simplest of things. Many of those scary, difficult, and sometimes crazy times are laughed about and cherished today. Their kids and grandkids have many fond memories of their time spent on the farm. The farm held such a special place in Martha and her family's hearts that she decided she wanted to put as many memories from there as possible on paper. Over the course of several months, she penned her story to be placed in a book and asked each of her family and friends to write about what The Farm meant to them as well. After her cancer diagnosis, it quickly became important to the family to also add a section for what Mom/ Mamaw/ Martha means to each one of them. With the help of many and especially the coordination by granddaughter Kami, this book became a reality. A copy was able to be printed in time for Martha to read and enjoy it and take pride in knowing the love and legacy she and Carl built will live on. Martha enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed the opportunities she had to take mission trips and serve where she could. She had a long history of service in many capacities of Women's Missionary Union (WMU) such as Co-Director FBC-WMU, BBA-Executive Representative, BBA-WMU-Women's Missions, and NE Regional Women's Ministry Leader. Many of you may remember Martha for her talents as a charter member of The Debbonaire's Club where she humbly used her skills in crafts, flowers and decorating and then later using those skills as the business owner of Martha's Home Place.
Martha was a faithful Christian and long-time member of Monroe City First Baptist Church where she lovingly enjoyed serving the Lord in many ways such as teaching children's classes, helping with the youth, and working in women's ministry. She was most recently instrumental in planning and participated in a women's retreat for Women Reaching Women Ministries.
