Martha Joann Stevens Tomlin

Mrs. Martha Joann Stevens Tomlin, age 79, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on March 31, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Alfred Stevens and Odessa Marie Witt, and the wife of the late George Louis Tomlin Sr. Mrs. Tomlin was born on August 31, 1943, in Bedford County, Virginia. She worked for Chapstick as a Supervisor for many years before retirement.

Mrs. Tomlin is survived by her children, Gregory "Greg" Pribble (Anne) and Melissa Hardy (John); her grandchildren, Ryan, Olivia, Steven, Chandler, Connor, and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Zion, Eli, Izabella, Wyatt, Hudson, and Zayne; nieces, Carol Stevens and Karen Mueller; and nephew, Robert Keith Stevens. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Tomlin is predeceased by her siblings, Jackie Stevens, Shelby Filiger, and Billy Stevens; great-grandchild, Luke Hardy; and nephew, Barry Eanes.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Virginia Memorial Park with Pastor Wayne Murphy officiating.
