Martha Townsend Obituary
Martha Ovelia Townsend, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 30, 2024, at the age of 94 in Staunton, VA. She was born on July 16, 1930, in North Carolina.
Martha is survived by her daughters Peggy Sheppard, Diane Bryant, and Patsy Galford, as well as many grandchildren and loved ones. Martha was preceded in death by her four sons, Billy Sheldon Field, Johnny Fields, Jimmy Fields, and John Fields.
Her life will be celebrated at a Public Viewing at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 11:00 am, followed by a Graveside Service at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
